Morning In The Kitchen

As at most folks' homes, I suppose, morning starts in the kitchen.

Thinking through what needs to be done. Making lists. Measuring out your time and what, if any, trips out to run errands needs to be arranged.

 

It means something a little different to most everyone. But it usually includes food and coffee or tea. Maybe the daily newspaper. Tending to the pets and aquarium.

At some houses, it's a rushed affair. People heading out the door to work. Children to get off to school.

 My girls are long grown. So my mornings are slow and quiet. I can take the time to slice fruit over my cereal. I can pour my coffee in my favorite mug, and add milk and sugar till I get it just right. 

Traditions fall into place, though they're really not planned. People do things in a certain order. And that becomes mimicked until habits set in. 

Oh, how I love my mornings. I've always been a morning person. My head hits the pillow before 10 p.m. at night. And aside from getting up to let dogs outside and staring at the moon, I'm merely setting the stage for morning.

Where The Sewing Machine Table Ended Up

You asked where the sewing machine table ended up. Don't feel sorry for it. It has a place of honor in the dining room.

Here in a sunny spot with a colorful tablecloth thrown over it for fun.

I made some small changes in the kitchen as well. I should have known myself well enough to realize I would never be able to stand having different sized metal hangers on either side of the table. So I went back to HL this morning, while the sale was still half off, and bought the same size. 

And I changed what was on the table up a bit. I have so little counter space that I took the knife set and placed it here. Gives me a little more room.

I had a dreadful time posting yesterday on Blogger. Did anyone else have issues yesterday evening? I like to never got it to upload photos. And I'm continuing to have problems with the spacing between the text and the photos. Anyway, have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
