It’s been a very trying couple of days around here. Bonnie, above, has been missing for two days. I don’t think there’s any way she could get out of our small yard. I found some small tufts of fur in the pond. But not her. It's a tiny pond. So please keep your fingers crossed. Because I don’t want to think I’ve lost her altogether…
The last couple of weeks, she’d run outside at night when the dogs had their last outing of the evening. I’d try to catch her, but she’s not the warm and cuddly type kitty. So I’d go back in a few hours to let her back in.
My vet and I discussed this just last week when she came out to see Bonnie. She was treating her for allergies. I told her about Bonnie’s love of watching the water come off the waterfall. Bonnie is mesmerized by water moving. And the vet said she’d hate to take that away from her, even if the allergens are bad this time of year. Because Bonnie used to sit at the window and just stare out. As though she was never part of the fun.
So I just hope I see her again.
